On February 23, 2018, the City of New Albany requested approval for additional disbursements from the Economic Development Fund in the sum not to exceed $4,000,000 to pay costs of the following in support of economic development: to pay for shuttle service in 2018 for business park employees between the COTA Park and Ride and their places of employment, in an amount not to exceed $I 30,000; to pay costs of incentives for previously approved projects, in an amount not to exceed $1,750,000; to pay preliminary costs related to the Blacklick Creek Trunk Sewer Project including, but not limited to, environmental permits, mitigation costs, and sanitary sewer permit to install, in an amount not to exceed $500,000; to pay costs associated with the installation of additional infrastructure (fiber and street trees) in support of the Turnstile Project located on Beech Road in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000; to pay annual costs of the Innovate New Albany Community Improvement Corporation inclusive of facility management, website/blog updates, event planning and maintenance, and annual Rev l Ventures membership dues, in an amount not to exceed $50,000; and to pay costs of professional services for economic development projects, in an amount not to exceed $570,000 (collectively, the “Economic Development Projects”). The Authority Board unanimously approved the disbursement of the funds.
